Join the 2025 Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Fest this October in the Plaza
de Mesilla
LAS CRUCES, NM – Grab your lawn chairs and head to the Mesilla Plaza next month for the
2025 Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Festival, featuring a dozen area bands over the first
weekend in October.
Hosted by the Mesilla Valley Jazz and Blues Society, the festival is held annually to celebrate
jazz and blues music, and the talent we have right in our backyard. Members of the public are
invited to listen to the various bands playing throughout Oct. 3, 4 and 5. All performances are
free of charge.
Bands such as the Third Line Jazz Trio and the Desert Stompers will perform interchangeably
throughout the weekend and a special performance Saturday will also be held at the Atkinson
Recital Hall on the New Mexico State University campus. Saturday audiences will enjoy the
Candice Reyes / Abel Mireles Group followed by the Border Jazz Orchestra.
“You won’t want to miss these three days of musical festivities as we embrace the brilliant
sounds of our areas’ finest jazz and blues performers!” MVJBS President Carol Mertensmeyer
says.
